Noteworthy Editor Position Announcement
In 1989 Jon Richards started a monthly printed newsletter he
named the Noteworthy Newsletter. It has become THE newsletter for experienced
buyers and brokers of notes, mortgages and other cash flows on the secondary
market. The Noteworthy Newsletters content, articles, columns and advertisers
primary focus is private mortgage notes with an occasional article dealing with
alternative cash flows. Over the years Noteworthy has grown into the leader in
the specific niche of private mortgage notes with a monthly printed newsletter,
website (www.noteworthyusa.com), industry products, classes and conventions.
As you may know Jon Richards and I were business friends and
he helped me out immensely when I was starting my business. From him I learned
that sharing knowledge and experience with others is the only way to preserve
and grow the industry to keep it a viable, strong and unregulated industry. In
2002 Jon and I co-authored my marketing book, Every Single Profitable Note
Marketing Idea in The World (almost). In 2004 Jon passed away from cancer.
His position as the Publisher/Editor of the Noteworthy Newsletter was taken over
by George Rosenberg, a veteran in the real estate note industry. Long story
short, George passed away in March of this year of leukemia.
I was asked to take his place and continue the tradition that
Jon started years ago of sharing our collective knowledge and experience for the
betterment and longevity of the industry. I am honored and humbled to have been
asked to continue the Noteworthy tradition as its new Editor. I am truly looking
forward to the challenge of following in the footsteps of George and his
predecessor Jon Richards. Jon was one of the first individuals that I modeled
myself after in the early years of my business. I continue to emulate him today
by sharing my knowledge and experience and giving back to the industry that has
been so good to me. Identical to Jon and George, I believe in sharing our
collective knowledge and experience for the betterment and longevity of the
industry.
In the beginnings of this industry there were only a handful
of individuals and companies purchasing and brokering discounted real estate
secured notes. Their knowledge, skill and experience have shaped the business
into what it is today and has built a solid foundation for the industry to
flourish for unlimited years to come. Having come into the business in 1991 and
having learned directly from some of these individuals I look forward to
integrating the experiences of the past with the knowledge of the present
together with an awareness of the future. I plan to keep the newsletters
standards as high as both Jon and George had set them. As the new Editor of the
Noteworthy Newsletter I will continue the mission of reporting the industry
news, educating our readers and providing critical commentary.
As your "favorite Master Consultant" I will continue
to be active in the ACFA and assist new and experienced people in the industry
strive for success. As the new Editor of the Noteworthy Newsletter I invite you
to join me every month for up to date information, in depth articles and current
happenings in the industry. If you are new or experienced in the Cash Flow
Industry and are active or want to be active in the private mortgage note niche,
I encourage you to subscribe to the Noteworthy Newsletter.
